Production
Clay is a precious and
sustainable gift from nature. Our clay originates from the organic
deposits of the Jura seas, approximately 150 million years ago,
historically called LIAS.
This clay is extracted
from open pits, carefully prepared, finely grinded and granulated into
small balls.
Aquaclay® is burnt in the glowing
heat of a big rotary kiln at 1200°C, without any artificial additives,
pesticides or dyes.
It is the result of a
special engineering process;Aquaclay®’s outer skin and inner
core are very porous. The large number of open pores gives bacteria the
ideal medium in which to multiply.
One
Aquaclay® ball is qualitatively uniform
with the other. The size, weight and porosity are meticulously
controlled. On-going, independent quality control, research and
laboratory testing allow us to improve and achieve this product.
